CANVASSING

CANVASSING: I see the Energy Working Group Canvassing as originating in Martin Luther King’s call for “Vietnam Summer,” in 1967. He begged high school and college students, particularly, to use their Summer Vacation to go door to door in their own neighborhoods to find out the concerns and thoughts of all the people, this in contrast to elites that the media and politicians focused on exclusively.
